The state of Tennessee issues license plates for what seems like every school in the South and also for such schools as far away as Penn State, Indiana and Purdue...

Interesting note - Did you know that UofL has more registered collegiate plates than UK?

That is surprising.

Not really. Most UK fans don't bother to register the lawn mowers they drive to town on.

On the license plate note--Memphis is the only out of state school that Mississippi issues tags for.

ECU solidifies the Meinekee Bowl so they don't get pissed if the Yankee Bowl surpasses them for the 3/4 spot in bowl selections.

Memphis AD is trying to save his job after the Cal krap and loosing all those games. He is willing to sell the rest of the confernce sports to an inferior league over all instead of staying in a decent all sports league to save his job right now. He definately looses his job if ECU or Temple get the invite. ECU has already offered to sell its soul for BE addmittance and Temple causes the least disruption with its other sports in the A-10.

We have dominated most of C-USA football in the past when we had DW and if we were in a BCS conference we would have the same success as USF and UC and but a scare into every SEC school and every Big 12 school because recruits would want to come to Memphis over those schools because we have more to offer in a large metro area than somewhere like LSU or Arkansas and we have a historic stadium. We also are the flagship program of the western part of this state and could potentially become the USC of the mid-south in football.

I can hardly wait to make that drive (and to all other Big East schools). If I wasn't sure UofM could pull its own weight in the Big East, I would not want to join.

with the ville and syracuse improving, memphis would struggle for 4 years or more05-nono05-nono

Overly pessimistic, but still far more grounded in reality than the next statement...

Not sure who "MemphisTger" is trolling for, but he/she/it is obviously here to make Memphis look ridiculous.
