What I find funny is the lack of revenue that just happens to be missing from the MWC side of it, in comparing the 2 conferences;

Maybe it is just me, but it seems like a few things could be missing... Like;
Television revenue (TV royalties are not the same as TV Revenue)

BC$ revenue

Were is the MWC's;
Grants-in-aid
Sports sponsorships

So according to this source (the Birmingham News, coming from a UAB Grad), the MWC didn't get:

Bowl revenue; yet in 2006 they played in Las Vegas Bowl, Poinsettia Bowl, Armed Forces Bowl, and New Mexico Bowl
BC$ revenue; yet the according to this the MWC had the highest non-Auto ranking (C-USA was 3rd of the 5) http://www.idahostatesman.com/boisestate...96335.html
NCAA enhancement fund; I would have to believe that each conference would receive monies from this fund...
Sports sponsorships; Sports sponsorships and Merchandise royalties are not the same....

Just looking at the Bowls;
In 2006 C-USA Bowl game were...
Liberty Bowl
GMAC Bowl
Armed Forces Bowl
New Orleans Bowl
PapaJohns.com Bowl

Which would roughly paid out a total of $3475,000 and it looks like after expenses (unless it was from 2005's Bowls) was $2,358,219, so roughly expense averaged $223,356.20 per game.
So if the MWC expenses were $250,000 per game there would still be $2,050,000 to split among the MWC teams.

BC$ Revenue; C-USA should have earned $2,486,400, yet looks to have only split $1,050,000 or 42.2% of the total.
Using the same 42.2% the MWC would have split $1,489,491.20

For some reason it seems like there could be quite a few missing numbers for the MWC...

The only thing is I don't believe it works that way. Every thing I have ever read, points to that the MWC splits the revenue and distributes the monies to the MWC schools.

I was involved in the conversation and I think the CUSA and most other conference's numbers look accurate, but the MWC is clearly reporting revenue in a different way (for the reasons you state), so we can't really use these numbers in any sort of comparison.

The last couple weeks have been very nice with posting 3 different conference fans "templefootballfan" (MAC), "Krocker Krapp" (Big East), and "goodknightfl" (C-USA). I had been hoping you and "mattsarz" would stop by now and then to add some more input to help this board even more...

You are right all of the conferences report and distribute their revenue in different way and can not just pick one form to make a broad sweep with...

BTW, E-zone I have never seen this information in my life until this weekend, so you must have seen someone else "use this link quite a few times". This summer when hopefully my work slows down, I am going to write the IRS and inquire about the missing income that you guys say should be there.

Sorry, I thought (and sometimes it gets me in trouble... tic) it was you who had and other C-USA fans. I've seen it posted at-least 3 times (want to say 4 times) since it was done on February 24, 2008...
