Somehow I don't think Maze came up with that one, or any one for that matter.

Sounds like something a college recruiter or a fast talking orange coat wearing head coach might throw into his pitch.

These kind of statements are why we need to really over achieve next year.

Well put. "They" ripped UK as well. Maze actually gave UC some good props in a radio interview. He basically said that PT was the big issue/difference. So I don't have to put my foot in my mouth after my original post on this. Had I not been told that by the people some basketball people at UC, I wouldn't have posted it.

Did your "sources" tell you that Maze chose UT because of PT or
that UC pulled out on the Maze sweepstakes?

They were pretty confident that it was PT. They wanted him and did not pull out. There is alot of PT for him down there. It sounds like he wanted a staring job just for signing. Pearl is promising something down there.

RE: What do we do now for a PG
Neither fit the role of a PG, but it looks like two good guards are back on the market. Rivals has finally confirmed that Eshaunte Jones got out of his LOI to Oregon State. Also, Melquan Bolding is not going to UL and his name was linked the UC the first time he questioned his committment. Not enough room for Bolding on the UL roster.

Is Bolding any good? I thought his ranking dropped into the higher 100's (such as 180) or something like that. Not that rankings mean that much, but he was more highly regarded in the past........which means someone didn't see much improvement in him or there were possibly other issues.

I think the biggest problem are some of the UC "fans" who take glee in Mick missing out on a recruit because they think that somehow it makes Bob Huggins look good.

I think if we were to add another quality SG we wouldn't need another PG. Vaughn can run the point. The biggest problem with him doing it the last couple of years was that there was no other scoring threat. If you have someone off the ball who can score I think Vaughn can play the 1.

Your post was the first post that mentioned Huggins. And I fail to see where anyone took any glee on us missing out on Maze.
