"Kent is another mid-major that could and should warrant serious at-large consideration."

Gotta love the life of a Mid-Major. Two weeks ago we were a 9 seed, one loss later we're a 12 seed.

I don't care where we are seeded (if we make it), so long as we don't have to deal with another 7-footer. Kent can hang with a guard oriented team, but a talented big man will shred Kent's D. It's VERY premature at this point though.

Fun website that lists everyone's bracket from so-called experts to high school kids.

Ahh, Denver, get there a few days early for some skiing, sounds like a fun trip. : ) Still hoping for Tampa though.

We'll just get 'em into foul trouble, worked so far against some of the good big men we've played.

Palm's web site has Indiana(5) vs. KSU (12). Don't know if I like the match-up to get some revenge for 2002 or if I hate it because it's getting kind of old. Seems like Pittsburgh and Indiana are usually our dance partners.

I think we can handle almost any team in the post. He's not a 7-footer but Q held his own with the All-American "Physco T" and shut down the supposed NBA prospect Daniels. Don't think of the injured Gerwig or undersized Warzynski trying to defend Aaron Gray.

RE: bracketology
For what it's worth, Lunardi has Kent as a #12 seed as of today, with Ohio garnering the last at-large spot as a #12 as well. So that would lead me to believe that if Kent can pull of a win against St. Mary's and play VERY well down the stretch, then they could still have a legitimate arguement for an at-large if they fail to win the tourney.

RE: bracketology
I think they would practically have to run the table in the regular season to have it happen. Not saying it can't happen, just saying that it is tough to be a mid-major.

RE: bracketology
Our RPI is now at 48 with a projected RPI at 45. Not anywhere good enough. Need 35 to even have a chance. The projected RPI still doesn't have bracket buster games in it so a win at St. Marys is one way to improve the 45 number.

Palm still has us winning the MAC and being a #12 playing Baylor.

RE: bracketology
OU's loss at EMU seals their fate. There's no way they get at-large consideration with 3 conference losses (and will probably end up with a few more). Kent's at-large hopes are hanging on by a thread. The only tolerable losses will be in the bracket buster and at Akron. Kent really needs to win one (or maybe both) of those games going into Cleveland if they want serious consideration.

Kent can take 2 more losses and still keep the RPI in the high 30s. That said, I think a win will at St. Mary's will be neccessary to push them on the right side of the bubble.

Kent also needs to at least tie for the MAC lead. If they finish 12-4 and WMU finishes 13-3, Kent will not get an at-large. Root against WMU. I'm taking a flyer here that Ohio and Akron will each loss at least one more game in the MAC each.

Let's just win the MAC tourney and not worry about at-larges.

I see Ohio in the "New Arrivals" list, but it doesn't show the MAC having 2 bids and I don't see them in the Bracket anywhere...At least our boys are in...for now...
