Herd fans love to 'Smack the MAC', Detroit, etc.
We smack Temple or whomever is the target of the times. Why?
Yet The Sporting News this week says Detroit is the #1 sports city in America. Herd fans have visions of Detroit '67 or even 20 years ago. Not the city with Ford Field and the Super Bowl, cool downtown and very impressive development occuring year after year probably dating back to the building of Comerica Park. Maybe a new hockey arena coming?
Akron's new stadium will make "The Joan" like... Okay, don't rag on anything named after an elderly female benefactor. It is beneath the dignity of MAC fans.
Does Marshall have an indoor practice facility? Most of the MAC does.
Any chance to get Marshall to visit the new Akron stadium?
And their great indoor practice facility.
Will they live in the past and remember the Rubber Bowl until 2020?
Or a visit to Ball State and their redone stadium.
My serious question for Herd fans:
Can you update your mental images to take into account recent changes in stadia, TV, bowl games, FB scheduling alliances (i.e., Big Ten), etc. ? (after Marshall left a lot of GOOD things happened to the MAC).
