Yes, so we can field more athletic teams and compete in the Sear's Cup with a chance to get in the top 25.

Screw the Sears Cup. I would just like to loosen up the academic requirements for football and basketball players. God help Wake Forest if I am ever President of the University.

God help UNC and NCSU if I ever become governor of this state.

got mixed emotions about this. i like staying the size we are. i believe we're at around 3800 undergrad. jumping to 4000 or even 4200 would be okay. 5000 may be a reach. we'd need more dorms and probably more classrooms. definitely more parking!!!!
on the other hand, pimp daddy has a good point. we could stand to loosen just a few academic restrictions. there's a fine line there. growing to 5000 would help in making things a little easier for some athletes in the classroom. but i don't want athletes to coast through like at duke or nc. but i do want to drop the lit requirement in foreign language. 2 semesters is plenty in my estimation.

With the addition of another 2,000 students...you
should require that they must attend home football
games. Then we wouldn't out number you that much
at Groves Stadium.

Naz-T, I like the way you think. The foreign language requirement blows my nads. There are also a few other restrictions that need to go.
I, too, am a bit conflicted on this issue because I am an academic snob. I love claiming academic superiority over others (no matter how superficial that may be) and stating that we are the second smallest Division I school in the country. On the other hand, adding one to two thousand more students would help the athletics teams(football and basketball) and mean more honeys in short skirts at baseball games.

Paul, I do not know what you are talking about, but Groves has been sold out and overflowing capacity for the last decade. You need to lay off those drugs.

Cake - I can remember 1 game in my 4 years at Wake where Groves was even remotely close to being sold out. It was against UNC.

Cake,
As much as I wish that were true, that must be some great LSD you take before football games to see all those people in Groves. You probably saw Jerry Garcia sitting in your row, huh?
And Paul, we really appreciate your concern, but the only reason your fans outnumber us in Groves is that most of them live right here in Winston and have no affiliation with Florida State, whatsoever. You know, the same ones that root for Caroli...er....Duke when basketball season is here.
