Ah the same question I've had to answer about 50x so far in the past week...here in lies the dilemna....we don't just work at the same school we're both 4th grade teachers, so I have to work very closely with him on an almost daily basis for the rest of the school year and I don't want things to be awkward so Im more trying to play the let's see what happens game.....I asked him to come to the tailgate at the Terps game Saturday and he said he'd call he didn't (but then again it was end of first quarter til he even arrived in teh stadium)

I guess I should have read the thread. If you work that closely, DONT DO IT. Its the old dont dip you wick in the company ink well, if you will. If you dont think you would be picking out curtains with this guy (and how the heck would you know anyway!) let it go.

Ok, fair enough. That may be his concern as well. I've been in that situation, and there is the added mystery of "harassment".

But, you have already figured out the obvious answer: group functions.

Get to know each other socially at group functions. There is less pressure, fewer expectations, and less room for gossip.

If you both think that there is chemistry, you can discuss what happens from there.

But, if he's too much of a pansy (or too caught up in partying w/ the guys) to make it to a group event to get to know you better...then forget him. He's a child.

What the hell kind of guy teaches 4th grade anyways? I think I had one male teacher all through elementary school. It just seems like something a well adjusted man wouldnt do...unless he is gay, which would explain everything.

One of my male co-workers at my school yesterday stopped me and was talking to me told me I looked nice today...that part i get it's a good thing but then he saw I had some terp football programs w/me for my kids to read and he was like YOu know I was at the season opener against William and Mary, I almost called you I ahd six tickets and if I didn't fill up a spot i was gonna call you and see if you were up for it....and I was like oh I was there we have season tickets....

Anyway two of my guy friends said that was the hint for me to give him my phone number b/c he doesn't have it I said how do I know he wasn't just saying all of that....anyway so guys what the heck....is that really a hint for me to give him my number?

If we wants you then he should just ask for your number.
