I'll go with Ted Williams. Scary to think what kind of numbers he would have put up had he not went off to defend our Country!
I like GDAWGS #4 pick, Josh Gibson. He was a stud.
I think Clemente could have been up there. He was a superstar who had his career cut short. A shame.

i don't know about this. he never played against Major leaguers. I know he's a big time legend and everything, but that's just it, everybody here has only heard the folk tales. because he didn't play against Major Leaguers, he is a folk hero. I'm not saying he's amazing nor am i saying he's bad, it's just too hard to even come close to figuring out.
Clemente's was amazing, but his career wasn't cut short. he was 38 when he died. I doubt he had much left.

Josh Gibson hit over 800 home runs. He may not have faced major leaguers, but that is pretty impressive.
