I cannot wait for all the Cubs pitchers too be healthy, theyre starting rotation will be scary. With Prior Wood and Zambrano, they have 3 pitchers that you could argue are the best in the NL, maddux is a great, and clement is a good pitcher too. Then with glendon rusch having a great start, and mitre doing well at times, they could be unstoppable.

Rusch and Mitre will be out of the rotation as soon as Prior and Wood come back. And that's a good thing; Rusch, despite the fact that he looked good today, is not a No. 5 on even a bad team, let alone a contender.

ok i agree with you about rusch, but i think mitre is pretty decent, but a healthy rotation of wood, prior, zambrano, maddux and clement, is as close to unstoppable as you can get

clement has been great. And maddux is definitely not great anymore. Also, Mitre hasn't been very good. But overall, i do agree that when prior and wood come back, that rotation will be amazing.

of course they're overrated. The whole central division is overrated. But the Cubs starting rotation isn't overrated. When healthy it's amazing.

The NL Central is the best division in baseball. The AL West is a distant second. The Reds have made this division the best. Pittsburgh is the worst team in the division and they are 1 game under .500. That says it all.

Reds are Rockin', can't wait for the next game. The NL Central is strong right now. Cubbies are 25-20. Not too shabby.

oh please. The AL east and west are both better than the NL central. In fact, the AL east is much better than the NL central.

As usual, you are in the minority. If you can't just look at the standings and realize that the NL Central is the best, I misjudged your baseball knowledge.
I can sort of see the argument for the AL West. No way for the AL East.

actually, your baseball knowledge, is way off. Stick to the NBA. Any baseball fan knows that you can determine the best division based on the standings.
If you are going on the standings then just look at the top 2 teams in the AL east. But of course only fools go on standing alone.

It is not about the top 2 teams. It is about the whole division. When you look at that, it is clear what the best division is.
And you can't go on standings alone, you are correct. You have to look at injuries. The Cubs have had a lot of injuries, Wood, Prior, Sosa. The Astros have missed Pettitte. The Reds have missed Kearns. And they still have been the best division. Imagine how dominant they wold be with all healthy.

every team has injuries. We have seen the Cubs with everyone healthy excpet Prior. And we know they have no hitting.
Yankees- sheffield, Giambi
Red Sox- Nomar and Nixon
O's- ainsworth
Angels- half their damn lineup!
Actually, the AL west is better than the AL east. But they're both better than the NL central.
Do any of you ever throw off your bias?

i dont see why you think the cubs have no hitting, theyre not a great hitting club, but theyre certianly not bad: theyre 14th in the majors in RBI, 2nd in HR, and 16th in BA.

so, they're at the middle of the pack. In a watered down major leagues, that stat is nothing to boast about.
