Shelden is probably the most inconsistent player on Duke... What did he have against FSU? 2 points and 3 rebounds or something? Duhon brings it every night in one way or another... He leads the team emotionally, mentally and physically (on the court). He rarely makes mistakes and he does all the little things that only Deng does (besides Duhon).

Trust me, this is the order of the best Duke players (and I know Coach K agrees with at least 75% of this).

1) Deng
2) Duhon
3) Shelden
4) JJ
5) Ewing
6) Shavlik
7) Dockery
OK look, you say what you want to and we will just have to disagree. I can promise you that more teams fear stopping JJ than Duhon. Leader or no leader, JJ is just flat-out leading his team by actions.

And while you are saying how JJ ranks to Coach K, did you ever think this might be true because he wants to keep JJ around a little longer? If JJ get's put down long enough, maybe even he will think he isn't ready for the pros. One thing I guarantee is JJ will be a far better pro player than Duhon (period).

Coach K knows, just like anyone who knows a lick about basketball... that there is no way in hell that JJ goes pro early. NO WAY IN HELL... And you can quote me on that.

This is something Coach K told me in private (that Deng and Duhon are the 2 best players)... not something he is trumpeting to everyone... HE KNOWS COLLEGE BASKETBALL... YOU ARE SHOWING THAT YOU DON'T... Chris Duhon knows how to run a team, an offense, get others involved and play solid defense. THAT IS THE MARK OF A GREAT COLLEGE PG.

You wanna see how good JJ would be without others to screen for him and pass to him (Duhon)? Look at Todd Billet.

Yes I do... If you want to know how I can PM you. I don't feel comfortable talking about it on the public boards.

I was just poking fun at the fact that you would put yourself in a situation where Coach K could pull an "angelic eyes" on you.

But really it's cool that you talk to him. I talk to a friend of Lonny Baxter's father... :thumb:

Ok, count me in now. Carolina is now 3-5. Felton only had 14 pts and turned it over 5 times including 2 of the last 3 possesions. Duhon did outclass him on this night.

Do you know how many pro teams would be lining up for a shooter like JJ? Don't tell me that his academics will hold him in school. He is a pothead basketball stud. Mark my words...if Duke wins it all this year, JJ is Gone.

As for your comment about Billet, use some common sense. JJ is 6'4..Billet is 5'10. Billet has to work way harder to get his shots off even around screens. Trail him with a DJ Strawberry and he will produce 3 points per game (like he did). Just because Virginia sucks at all facets of the offense scheme doesn't mean pro teams do. Dan Majerle, Chris Mullens, Richard Hamilton, Larry Hughes, Sam Cassell. These guys were and are great shooters because they were deep shooters working around screens. If anything, JJ's game would pick up in the pros because of the lack of defensive pressure they face.

I agree Deng will be great and is easily the most well-rounded athelete on the team. But right now JJ is the consistant scoring leader. Deng does more to help the team (rebounds, clean-up, driving, etc) but certainly JJ right now is the most feared offensive threat Duke has.
