Quote:Furthermore, there is always someone in the halls of the White House ready to leak information for political milage or to embarrass the administration. Yet none, not one, has ever leaked that Bush had a meeting with Exxon, BP, etc. and made a backroom deal. Not only could you get political milage out of that leak, you could probably get a multimillion dollar book deal.

Boy that's some conclusive proof if I ever did see it, right out of the Ann Coulter think tank.

Nobody has leaked any information to embarrass the White House in regards to their energy policies because they do it right out in the open while they're serving Kool Aid to you guys and you buy it like the party line robots that you are.

"Yep, it's good for our national security, Mericans, and apple pie, no reason to question". :uberbow:

Quote:Yep, it's a giant conspiracy put forth by one of the most brilliant masterminds of our time, George Bush. I heard when Bush was 11 years old he convinced Lee Harvey Oswald (a Texan as well..........need I say more) to plug JFK. Even then Bush was a criminal mastermind.

Lest we forget that Bush was also part owner of the Texas Rangers. No doubt he was in bed with "big baseball" and helped push through the A-Rod deal. Probably got kickbacks from Steinbrenner and unloaded that enormous salary in Texas.

And what about fellow Texan Molly Ivans. She died recently you know. Molly never had one kind word for GW in her columns. Is it a coincidence that she recently died. I think not.

And Haliburton.............yes, Haliburton. Never mind that they are the only company in the world that goes into hostile countries to rebuild infrastructure. Their former ties to Cheney make it clear that they too are in bed with this administration.

Don't the Bushes have a home in Maine? That's a couple hours drive from Chappequidik. I think we know now who drove off that bridge with Mary Joe.
'

I think it's time to let Dip breath, that's as close to a rant as we need to see in the off season. 03-melodramatic

There you have it...ironclad evidence: Since nobody in the White House has leaked anything about it, it couldn't have happened.

Leak? Leak! Why would anybody in that WH cartel spill the beans and kill the Goose that Laid the Golden Egg?!

I know, it's must amazing. thousands of people have managed to keep the biggest secret since "who killed JFK." Simply amazing. But hey, they're following the master mind, the grand poobah of brilliant schemes, George W. Bush.

Coulter writes a column ever week, check her archives, would you like to link me to her column on the "great gas conspiracy."

As for this "consiracy theory," it's been a talking point of the DNC, the NY Times, Moveon.org., Matthews and Obemann for ages. So spare me your "original" ideals.

IMO, it's not just GW & the White House. I think that the Oil boys have enough cash that they spread it around to everyone. Probably very few in Washington haven't fed at the oil money trough.

I find it surprising that for national security reasons alone that more refining capacity hasn't been planned and brought on line. It seems that we are in a position as a country right now that if some natural disaster or large accident, or heaven forbid an act of terrorism should occur - our whole transportation system could be in to toilet.

Let me remind you all what got you in a lather.

I pointed out that
Quote:the Wall Street Journal blamed the resent spike on a refinery being offline.

Followed by "rabble rabble rabble, how dare you Dip, we all know it's George Bush and Big Oil conspiring."

What were you thinking Dip.............quoting a rag like the Wall Street Journal, when it's common knowledge that gas prices are totally at the mercy of George Bush, master mind, genius extrordinare. lmfao lmfao lmfao

And speaking of medals DB. For the price of two gallons of gas you can help GTS support this site. The guy did a lot of work developing this place, and Dip's getting tired of parading around here with BroncoMD as the only people with medals on. General Lee...........what is a general without a medal?

I'm not sure DB is the medal type. He may aspire to higher things than that. 03-nerner

Dip, seriously, I find you incredibly creative, yea, even intelligent, that you can turn President Bush's public personna into an explanation for how he couldn't possibly be responsible for what has happened during his administration.

He either is, or isn't...

There HAS to be a job for you in the W. WH for the next several months, and perhaps beyond. What a legacy you could write!

Middle of the road? This about the author...

I just find it ironic that many of the same folks who call GW a tard, accuse him of manipulating the worlds oil supply for his own personal benefit. As I said, if he's that big of a dunce, how could he mastermind this without a single leak in 7 years in office?

Actually, Connerito, that news has been out there for a while, but not covered widely. The important stuff, of course, is that CREW singles her out.

Quote:Melanie Sloan, the executive director of Citizens for Responsible Ethics in Washington, or CREW, usually focuses on the ethical lapses of Republicans and conservatives, but even she is appalled at the way Sen. Feinstein has abused her position.

Two words. STUFFED SHIRT. The man behind the curtain is the one I'm talking about, not the village idiot who needs to return to the village.

DB I'm sure you understand why leaks in Washington occur. Political gain which at some point translates to money, monitary gain) (book deals), as a form of payback, and lastly CYA.

George Tenet is a classic example. George is now trying to use past conversations he supposedly had with Bush as a pay back, and finally as a bookdeal.

This idea that the exectutive branch manipulates gas prices has been going on for years. Bush isnt the first, he's simply the easiest to connect the dots. Worked in the oil biz, lived in Texas. But like I said, something of this magnitude would have been leaked ages ago, and a book would have been written, and we'd all be quoting it. It's never happened.

Do I think the oil companies use collusion in setting oil prices? Absolutely. But I dont think George Bush is privy to those meetings.

(Wondering if an Ann did her in.)

Dip, that's third grade reverse logic if I've ever heard it, "since nobody leaked, it must not be true".

I guess if it works for you....
