UNT vs. UL at The Swamp on ESPN2 for the SBC Title (if everything happens the way I hope). We still have to take care of business first, but both teams are expected to battle for the title. As The Nature Boy used to say "To be the man, whooo, you gotta beat the man, whoooo!" North Texas is the man right now. Sure Tech and ULM are big games, but none our bigger than our chance to show what Ragin Cajun football is all about on national TV.
GEAUX CAJUNS!!!

It's gotta be ULM first; hey you guys must destroy your in-state SBC competition and then move on to kick some Mean Green butt, eh?

Gotta be North Texas, the title runs through Denton. Hopefully this year the title will come to Lafayette, but we'll have to wait and see.

If the title is to come to UL this year we will know early in the year. Beat La. Tech and we will surely win the Sun Belt Conference. It seems as though Tech is becoming another Southern Miss. football program. There are articles in the Monroe News Star paper about the program every week and I mean good long articles with color pictures.
Has anyone noticed anything about the Cajuns football program in the Daily Advertiser lately?

The order of importance:
1. Northwestern State: gotta win the games vs. quality 1-AA opponents if you're 1-A.
2. Florida International: gotta win vs. a team in its first 1-A season.
3. Louisiana Monroe: gotta win in-state.
4. Idaho: gotta win the most winnable conference game.
5. North Texas: gotta look good on national TV.
6. Middle Tennessee: gotta get off to a good start in conference play.
7. Louisiana Tech: gotta win in-state, gotta build momentum for conference play.
8. Tie between Arkansas State, New Mexico State, Troy State: gotta win conference games.
9. Kansas State: gotta look good, but a win is not expected.
The No. 1 priority is a winning season. We can't go any longer without one.
The No. 2 priority is a conference championship. No bowl game in 34 years.
