Wow, some harsh words. I guess we will find out for sure this season. If Miami doesn't do very good then maybe Montgomery isn't so great, however he seems to be doing a great job recruiting so far. I know that doesn't mean he can coach though.

Bringing it full circle - ask Ron Zook how great recruiting does for you if you don't win.

He never had a prayer at Florida. Whoever followed Spurrier was doomed unless they won a NC right away. The Gator fans will be after Myer if they are not in the hunt this year.

Ron Zook doesn't have a prayer any place. He ran Florida into mediocrity and doesn't have Illinois showing any sign of life. As far as Brandon I think this will be a key year for him to show what he can do when he has many of his own guys and a QB that isn't an NFL prospect. BG looked lost when Omar went down against WMU last year, and part of that is coaching. I think Brandon and BG might bottom out this season.

Interestingly, Spurrier helped run UF into mediocrity - their roster was not the quality it had been when Zook got there, and he recruited very well leaving a stocked roster for Meyer. He couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag, which is why Illinois will fall short, but he should be able to get some talent to Champaign.

Everyone seems to feel BG will have a disappointing year, they do return a veteran OL that should be a big plus. BG's biggest problem is that they just are not PHYSICAL>>>> My guess around .500 ...I think OHIO and akron will rule the East.
