I know it's five months away, but I decided to go ahead and buy my ticket for the Middle Tennessee/Troy game.
I'm too involved in our growing relationship! I HAVE TO BE THERE!
Looking forward to the trip. For good measure and planning of the day's events, I do plan to stay Friday night in Troy for the game Saturday.
But, hey.
The game could still be moved. You know ESPN very well could be all on us!
BTW, how do ya'll like my sig?

Uhm, its nice, but I'm not crazy abou the Trojan Horse thing. That was used to *defeat* Troy. We want nothing to do with Trojan Horses.
Maybe you could have "The winged horse meets The Mighty Trojan Death Machine" or something. I can't think of anything better right now, but the Trojan Horse doesn't work. :)
GO TROJANS!

Quote:There is a replica of the actual Trojan Horse built in the REAL city of Troy. It's a Troy marvel. Sure it was used to defeat Troy, but it also became a symbol of Troy.
Its a symbol that Troy couldn't be beaten in a straight fight even when everyone ganged up on them, sure. Its a symbol for a cautionary tale, perhaps. But still, its also a symbol of the fall of Troy.
Calibos killed all but one winged horse, would MT fans like for his image to be hand in hand with Middle Tennesee?
I can think of other examples, but I'm trying to be PC for the sake of the boards.
GO TROJANS!

Anything to drum up interest. ESPN better not move this game to a weeknight. We're already moving one to Thursday for the Mizzou game. But to be honest, I can see it happening now, in part because of Aubbie and Bammer playing on that same Thursday.
I think we can pack it out against Mizzou for Thursday, although it won't be as full as it would have if it were Saturday night.
Let em put it on ESPN game plan or whatever. And let's play it Saturday night, even if we do have to go head to head with Bammer and Aubbie. On a level playing field, besides the Mizzou game, I think this will be the highest attended game of the year for us. Especially if there is a shot to New Orleans on the line. We really need to try to cap the 25K mark in attendance and push for 30K just to show people that a Sunbelt vs Sunbelt game can get that many people in the stands.

I meant Bammer and Aubbie playing on that same Saturday. My bad.

That is good news. I have always enjoyed watching the mid week games. I will be sure to watch that one. Look forward to Troy coming to Lafayette on November 13th, hopefully the game will have some New Orleans Bowl implications
