He commanded the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) in combat during Operation Desert Storm.
Very interesting, I never met Toney but I also served in Desert Storm but in the 3rd Battalion Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) during Desert Shield/Storm. My memory is not that great but I believe we supported the 3rd Special Forces Group during that time.
