Yesterday the cajuns picked up John Hundley from STM, the states highest rated passer, and in the top 30 overall ranked pro-style passers. A day later, the cajuns just got another Steal with Deon Wallace, the #12 ranked all-purpose running back by rivals100.com. He cited the ablility to see the field early as the reason he signed, and i think if hes as good as as rivals says he is, he could possibly contribute in a big way as early as next season.

heres a few articles I've found about Deon Wallace.

The most impressive thing in those articles is the fact that he had so many offers. I think we may have found our first 1000 yard back in school history.

He passed on scholarship offers from Kansas State (a team that beat us in 2004), Colorado, A&M, and Texas Tech. Mr. Wallace, you made a wise choice!!! Welcome to Cajun Country!!!!!!

He had the big time offers and decided to come here, showing we can pull in the big time RB's from Texas and Louisiana. I really see him shining over here b/c if he can learn this offense in time he'll definitely play next year. Or redshirt and see time the following season. Great to have him on board and Good Luck Cajuns!
