Why don't you try explaining it to the Huskie fans?

Well, I don't care who posted it where. Misinformation is misinformation and the facts should be checked before it's disseminated. (Besides, wasn't it NIU that ran to the Big West Conference after ditching the MAC and then came crawling back with their tail between their legs seeking readmittance? Great loyalty. Yet, EMU has remained loyal to the MAC and in return we deal with this garbage.)
Look, I have no illusions about what EMU needs to do in football. It's pretty simple really: Get our friggin' act together. I still think it can be done. If we have a deadline to get it done by and we fail, then we have no one else to blame. But that time has not arrived, nor do I believe, will it arrive.
I also fall back to what I said before. It's almost laughable when folks post about "if we could only drop this team or these teams" as every conference could argue to lop off a school or two, but then again, don't those schools also serve to fatten the records of the schools at the top?
Easy there, Tiger. You are the current flavor of the month in this debate.
Having lost to a 1AA team this past year, I'll say that MAC fans should not be throwing stones at 1AA teams. The same respect we seek from the BCS conferences, without a lot of success, is the same respect 1AA teams seek from us, and if we act as though we are a whole other class above those teams, then we are disrespecting 1AA as much as the BCS disrespects the MAC. They say that those in glass houses....
IMO, a team moving down to 1AA is not defeat, though I'm sure no one wants to be the guy to take his program down that road - it does mean less scholarship and less paid coaching positions.
I'm not willing to throw any MAC team under the bus, but the argument that taking our bottom-feeders in any given year out of the equation would make us a better overall conference is right on. That doesn't mean we should start cutting bait with EMU, Buffalo, Kent, etc.

Great insight Mr. Rochester Falcon
I might be alone in my stance, but it would pain me to see the Zips and Flashes drop to 1-AA ball.........There is a football tradition at both schools. I know, of late, that seems ridiculus, but it's true......Look at KSU basketball. Man, winning does so much to drum up support. Look at the MACC last Saturday night. That was frickin' awesome.......Place was packed.....(yes axeme, I agree, they did look like a shirts and skins team from the Annex at times).
I guess it's crunch time for these teams and fans these next two years....
I believe the fan support would come with some wins. Namely, relatively big name OOC wins early......
As for my Marshall comments, and their affinity for KSU and Akron, I guess that's based on what I've seen first hand at games. I guess my thought is that their MAC ramblings have more to do with leaving the MAC, than bettering it???
Well, I'm done. Back to work.......
