I also like the fact that the company, as opposed to the taxpayers, is paying for the study. From what I understand, though, minor league baseball does not have a viable future in B.G. Am I correct in my belief?

You are right. This is the fourth attempt I think on getting a team, the other attempts proved unsuccessful, largely because of lack of support. This company still doesn't want to own the stadium, so the city will still be stuck with that.
My fear is we will finally get a team to come in, but after 5-10 years they will be woo'ed by another city with yet another ballpark and we will be left with an empty ballpark in our downtown. BG does not support WKU athletics like it should, how can we expect them to support baseball in the long run?
