Dude, if someone compared you to me, it would be a compliment. You are by far the worst USM poster on the internet, Brian. Enjoy posting here while you can, because it will be short live. Just like all of your other stints.
That's priceless...not only do you not know what you are talking about, you are on...what?...your third or forth name now?...and why is that?...It couldn't be cause you have been banned here all those times, could it?.....
I got banned for having it out with one of the mods over PM, not for posting profanity and porno pics like you. You can deny it all you want Brian, Black Eagle, OG Eagle, Winged Eagle, On Wings of Eagles, or whatever you want to be called. Your idiotic, childish, semi-retarded posting style that's replete with grammatical errors gives you away.

College baseball is no big deal up north, and despite the presence of several excellent teams, out west as well (their teams draw well below 1,000 per game). A lot of people live in those two areas, of course, heavily influencing that poll.
I readily admit college baseball's season-long popularity is driven largely by the southeast, the gulf south, and Big 12 country. It is regional in nature, until you get to the NCAA superregionals and the CWS, when the country tunes in. If you took that poll for residents stretching from North Carolina westward to Oklahoma and then south to the Gulf of Mexico, college baseball would trounce womens basketball.
But, the Louisville fans posting this stuff on a smack board would have to privately admit why their school and athletic department just built a brand new stadium. It wasn't to try and prop up a moribund, irrelevant sport. It was to try and get in the game. When you look just to your south and see dozens of programs making money off of college baseball, you get interested. The Michigan AD didn't jump up and down and insist that the start of the college baseball season be delayed because he doesn't care and the sport is irrelevant. It is because he sees the revenue spike in college baseball, and doesn't want his conference left out. He wants a more level playing field.

Louisville also built a new track and field facility, swimming and diving complex and softball stadium. We want to compete in every sport. Don't be myopic when pointing out our facilities in an effort to suggest we want to 'get in the game' with baseball. We're in the game across the board.

Unfortunately in CUSA, Basebore is second behind football.
Those folks at Rice are so smart they don't have the common sense to understand the demographics of college sports (maybe trade in a few baseball $$$ for basketball facilities?).

Since we only had one team make the NCAA in basketball, and I believe 3 or 4 made it last year in baseball, with a repeat or even better performance likely THIS year, I think it's clear where CUSA stands... though I agree with the original poster, that this is a shame.
The poll asks what people care about... but not what people "support", or "watch". I think it's pretty obvious that any poll about spectator sports that balances the results based upon male/female population is inherently flawed, and will overstate the interest BY women, and therefore likely OF women....
The question for CUSA doesn't involve a National Survey anyway... Take a survey in CUSA cities and see how it turns out...
As I've said before, NASCAR is the worlds most popular sport... but I don't know many people that watch it, and even fewer who pay to go see it.

Soccer's more popular than NASCAR, but the point still stands.
