On that I agree, College Baseball is bigger in the South, Southwest and out West. A problem IMHO that they do have and there is really nothing they can do about it is the Alum. Bats.

Now if they do want to get stronger in the NE and Midwest then College Baseball really needs to push the season back until at least the Middle of March.

The one thing that did happen in the favor for College Baseball was the NHL strike a couple of years ago. ESPN had no programing and they put on College Baseball and it help them get the exposure they need.

Nobody on this board has ever said college baseball is as popular as college football and men's hoops. To think that it's delusional. What many people have said here before it's that college baseball is gaining popularity and that it'll soon (or maybe it already did) replace women's hoops as the 3rd most popular college sport. Football will always be the king in college sports....followed by men's basketball. Baseball will always be a far 3rd choice.

Less than 25% follow men's college basketball? That's lower than I expected. On the flip side, for every four college basketball fans there is a college baseball fan? A women's college basketball fan for every three men's college basketball fans. Those are pretty significant numbers that show potential, if you ask me. I read these numbers as being supportive of those that promote the college baseball being a significant player in the college sports watching market.

We don't get enough college soccer on television!! Given that SMU doesn't play baseball, I probably only watch the college world series and then only when CUSA has a team in it.
