You don't think shot selection is the problem? Are we watching the same games? How many times does Walker get a three without a hand in his face? How many times does he hold the ball for a few seconds without moving then shoot it? When was the last time you saw what appeared to be a play run that got a shooter open? When was the last time you saw a Kent player make an escape dribble before shooting? We think we're a three point shooting team but we don't create good looks... but we shoot them anyways.

One other comment in regards to "What are we going to do, not shoot?" YES! Coming into tonight our three point percentage is the second worst we've had in the last 16 years. But we're still attempting a three on 25.9% of our possessions which is the 4th highest volume in the last 16 years. So yes, get better shots, or shoot less threes.

And for what it's worth, after tonight we now have the worst 3 point % we've had in the last 16 years.

I guess we could lead the league in shot clock violations if we don’t take the shots. Who do you want shooting when Walker stops? Who are the good shooters who can create their shots? My point is they don’t exist. We are terrible at 3’s, as bad at mid range 2’s, and we can’t finish around the rim. We have guys taking open shots. They just can’t make them. Obviously we don’ t make the bad shots either and we take our share of them too. How many wide open misses will Peterson take before he stops shooting? And he’s not the only one who can’t make an open jumper.

I think we're probably closer to seeing eye-to-eye than it appears. I'm certainly not saying we're loaded with shooters. I think we have several adequate shooters and one potentially above average shooter (Walker) but the quality of looks we get and the rate at which were shooting threes would only work for an elite shooting team. I would like to see more plays designed to get shooters, particularly Walker, open looks. Run them off screens, go inside to look outside, etc. The problem is that the shooters are trying to create their own shots instead of taking them in the flow of the offense. Our guards need to be working harder when the ball isn't in their hands so things are easier when it is.
