There was been speculation for years that JMU might move up to join Conference USA or the Mid-American Conference. But coach Mike Houston told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that "only the perfect opportunity" would persuade JMU to move up, and by that he appeared to mean an invitation from the American Athletic Conference.

Hard to disagree with that first sentence. Especially in a no media money, no media, post-Cox bill it seems to me FCS is just as good or better than G5 in every way other than actual play on the field.

We had all but 1 game aired. Not sure what happened with FIU. But that's 11 easily accessible games with a much more interesting slate of opponents.
