The only way to not be out at work is to not have any personal friendship with anyone in your office and to lie in any social interaction with coworkers.

As Olive said, my point was pretty clear. You don't avoid it, but you don't shove it in people's faces either. Its not their business. It should be irrelevant.

Unfortunately, there are a LOT of people who find it very relevant, to the point that they are trying to pass laws to enable the denial of service, medical care, employment, and housing to people who are openly LGBT or even suspected of being so.

That's why coming out is brave. Its also highly important because there are many people who demonize us. Coming out provides context

I could say there are people trying to pass laws to deny people freedom of religion, to force the government and employers to pry into your private sex life and to generate more business for lawyers at the expense of actually useful jobs.
