Huff’s career 6.9 yards per carry is higher than Spann’s 5.4, Wolfe’s 6.4, Turner’s 5.3, and Johnson’s 5.6.

As far as pass blocking, I don’t recall Garrett Wolfe or LeShon Johnson being very good on pass blocking, and Chad Spann may have been the best of the lot on pass blocking. People can disagree about this, but you can’t disagree about Michael Turner; Coach Novak said about Michael Turner’s NFL prospects: "Michael is so big and so strong, he's a guy that's fast when he gets going. He's fast in the second 50 yards. He can learn pass blocking and he's big enough to protect the pocket passer.”

Coach Novak and Coach Kill understand the value of an explosive TB; Carey simply does not understand the value or for whatever reason does not get it. As far as pass protection, if Turner needed to learn pass blocking per coach Joe, he obviously was not a good pass blocker at NIU. Yet, with a good (very good or whatever adjective you want) coach, Turner and the others were NIU feature backs. Huff should be also.

Agreed, dp. I the sample size is a valid point. The problem here is that Law says "feature" back. Huff has not proven, over the years, that he is good enough, or shown enough consistency to be a "feature" back. At this level, if you are that much better than the lot, you stick out. I know, funny that I say that, as the best of the lot, Turner, just may have not ever gotten the chance if Hammock didn't go down with his heart issue.
