Alright on to Nebraska week! Lets kick off the prediction thread:

I think Santa plays decent and we keep it close till the 4th quarter. However, if we can generate 2+ turnovers from the defensive and turn those into scores I think we win the game.

That's what I hope for.
My prediction however:
Nebraska - 31
NIU - 13
This game will be a tale of two halves. Huskies keep it close in the 1st half, but Nebraska dominates in a big way in the 2nd half as conservative play calling catches up with NIU and wears down defense

34-20 Nebraska. Closer game than the score at 27-20 in 4th, but Huskers get the game closer with a late td to win by 14.
Relatively same attendance (+/-500) at this game vs what we will have total for the season.
27 - 23 the huckin' fuskies upset the starch eaters
24-21 Huskies
Defense plays well enough to keep us in a tight game and Hagan gets out of the dog house and nails a game winning field goal.
Haven't really seen enough from offense to think we will score much:

While I'm excited about where this team could end up, don't think it shows up this week. Nebraska's offense too good and we can't give our D enough breaks. I think it gets ugly in the 3rd.

I am afraid I agree, I think the first half will feel like the Ohio State game, but the 2nd half could get away. Unfortunately Nebraska's weakness in defense is not something we will be willing to attack.

Nebraska's D is bad, if NIU only scores 10, it means NIU would have gone another notch into the extreme of the conservative approach. I sure hope it doesn't go that direction.
So far this year Nebraska looks like they're in the middle tier of the Big Ten, behind Ohio State/Michigan/Penn State/Wisconsin and grouped with the likes of Iowa/Maryland/Michigan State and Minnesota. They will be tough but not like that top tier.
Look to the MSU win over WMU as a guide, something like 31-14 Nebraska. Nebraska goes plain vanilla on the playing calling in the second half.
I'm not thinking upset for the Huskies, I'm only thinking 'stay healthy'.

Im sure WMU fans would agree. Losing Tranquil and Assou are really big losses for the Broncos.
+14 line. Seems they are hoping people see Nebraska has no defense, that NIU will score.
