The P5 really wants to move to keep it at P5 status. You have strong schools out there that can spoil the party. Now, the talk is this. Even though academics does matter, but they know that they could lose money if they added losers in sports. Adding somebody from outside the box to the P5 can keep it P5 while weaken the other conferences.
