The big unknown is what MSU does with football. MVFC is making UND wait until 2020 to start play. Murray will also have to do something similar, or remain in the OVC for football, and simply not bringing that over to the MVC

The football delay was part of the deal with the Big Sky releasing North Dakota for next year with no penalty - Big Sky Football schedules were already set through 2019, and would cause significant headaches to change.

So if you are right, they can bring football over as early as 2018. That would free them up considerably. The OVC might not like them playing 2017 in the league for FB, but the schedule be already set, they would not have any choice.
