The MVC can do as it pleases and invite whomever it wants. That is not the business of the Summit football schools. What is their business, is if the MVC promises a MVFC slot to a potential MVC candidate.

I don't think that will happen. Valpo (non-scholarship football, same as Drake) or UIC (no football) are the front runners, and I think the teams that will be take (one or both).

100% correct.
Pretty much everyone getting mention is non-football.

Your right, they can do as they please and I expect them to. The only exception is if they invite Murray who would need to be blessed by the Summit schools if they want an MVFC slot.

That said, an unstable Summit is not to the benefit of the MVC FB schools. The conference may have Missouri Valley in the name, but it is the Summit schools, specifically, NDSU and SDSU who run the show.

The UND invite, surprisingly agreed upon by the financially strapped MVC FB schools may have been a precursor to them knowing WSU was leaving. They told us for years UND would never get in, suddenly UND get an invite. Looking back one now has to wonder.

Do you think that means that a 12th football school will be coming?

Doubt it, unless they try to get Murray State. I think it gives the Summit a buffer knowing we could lose one or two schools in a reshuffling brought on by WSU leaving. I would love to lose IUPUI, IPFW less so because of baseball. But losing those two, minus the addition of UND would be an issue. Having UND coming in leaves us 8 minus the two Indiana schools, 9 minus one.
