To me that seems to be on Nick Gulas. WHBQ didn't own the wrestling show, so what did the care about old episodes. Gulas owned the promotion and should have had the vision to keep the tapes.

Can only go by what Lance himself said. He stated that the reason there are no copies of the WHBQ Wrestling and Fantastic Features is because he had to reuse the video tapes.

Sad part is a big moment in Memphis wrestling history is lost forever. The day Lawler dressed like a woman and attacked Fargo. They redid the gimmick on Channel 5 with Lawler going after Tommy Rich, but Lawler was a face during that period and it didn't have the same feeling.



There are people out there who have every Memphis broadcast from the late 70's on. I used to know a few personally. They just need to come forward with the tapes and let someone get a digital copy.

I bet someone has a ton of them on betamax, and they would still be a high quality recording even today.
