1. We have all been around the stadium for at least 25 years. And from every time we went to a game, nothing changed. Man. This place is just hole on the map. Nothing here but stadiums. We got in our cars and went home. What you have been missing is this block by block encroachment from the east. In the past 20 years it has gone from Decatur to Oakhurst to East Lake to EAV to Edgewood to Cabbagetown to Grant Park, and now it is working its way west down Georgia Ave. My 30 yo something friends and I hit up a brewery every month or so. We had at a local establishment some beer from Eventide Brewing. Good stuff. We liked it. So we decided to visit their brewery. A bunch of middle class white 30 somethings from all over the metro. It is located 5 blocks east of Turner and 10 blocks south of I-20. Great environment. Had a great time.
2. Ponce City Market was sold for roughly $29 million in today's dollars for a development company to not build but renovate the Sears/City Hall East into $200 million dollar development. A studio apartment, 650 sqft, there rents for $1500 dollars, and 4 blocks away on Ponce you can get crack sold to you at the Taco Bell or be solicited at the Chevron. Not to mention being right next to Murder Kroger. Turner Field is 4x the size of PCM. The point is the gaps are filling up, and if you time the gaps right, there is a ton of money to be made. The area doesn't have to be crime free. And you don't have parcels this size or this clean available.

10 years ago, no one would have partnered with us on this. It was too soon. Now, there are $400k houses a block away from one for sale for $55k. We got a hometown discount on this, and Carter is ready to reap the benefits. But they need us. It is too risky and too soon without us being apart of it. If this costs them $400 million, in 5-10 years they will still look like geniuses. If Carter has to "donate" $50 million to our athletic department, it will happen.

Just want to say... I love that there is a wikipedia page for Murder Kroger.

They want to be rid of that name so bad they're tearing it down and building a new one in its place. When the new one is built, one of us is gonna have to take the hit and go murder someone/get murdered there. It's tradition!
Exactly just like Disco Kroger is still Disco Kroger
