And those suffering the additional drive now have a reason to come early (if they can get off work early), avoid rush hour and hang out until game time with all the stores, restaurants, etc. surrounding the stadium.
Early = the day before...

Again. It is leaving a more congested spot.
3 Atlanta Roads Make The Worst Bottlenecks in the Country
Quote:You don't need a scientific study to know traffic gets bad on the downtown connector, but turns out the stretch of road where I-75 and I-85 merge through downtown is ranked as one of the 30 worst bottlenecks in the nation by the American Highway Users Alliance. The downtown connector isn't the only Atlanta road on the list. Spaghetti Junction ranks as the No. 1 worst freight bottleneck in the entire country. I-285 at Georgia 400 is ranked one of the 50 worst bottlenecks.
50 Worst Bottlenecks in America

Again, that corridor doesn't make the list. But it is going to be worse than Turner Field? Ok. Whatever makes the ITPers feel better.

Lol, actually whatever makes you feel better since it did not make the list and 75/85 did...03-lmfao

It's a better area will have decent places to eat and drink at the actual stadium complex much less in the immediate area and is closer to the people that actually attend the games the most. Traffic at any sporting event is not good if the team draws. They will figure it out and the majority of fans will not have suffer an additional 30 drive getting home from Turner Field. Areas in the North Metro are nationally known baseball areas especially NE Cobb I don't think the south ATL is really known for its enthusiasm for baseball. So in the end its a win for the Braves and majority of Braves fans. ATL snubbed its nose at baseball and lost a team.

Yeah. This was one of the few times we saw eye to eye.
