For me, personally, that would be an awesome selling-point. But I honestly wonder if recruits born in the 2000s will have any real concept of the magnitude of Aaron's achievement. My parents were at the #715 game. In terms of individual accomplishment, in terms of baseball history, and in terms of national media coverage, it was a Very Big Deal. But it was also a long long time ago.

Either way, I hope and expect Panthers baseball will be played there. I'm kind of looking forward to that even more so than football at the Ted.

Falcons/Braves did it for years at Fulton Co. Stadium.
The Braves and Falcons of the 1965-90 era had no choice. But just as a matter of aesthetics, Fulton Co. Stadium was far from ideal.

I agree. But... welcome to the NFL.

As CRH has quipped "Cant wait to see my new office at the Ted". It would make no sense to take on a falling down 15k seat stadium and pour millions into it to double the size just to have the payoff be that you're on someone else's campus. You add in 67 acres that allows you to move baseball, softball and soccer back downtown not to mention the possibility of bringing back men's track. All of this in walking distance of the existing campus and of where students, faculty and alumni are already living off campus. No brainer.
This. Although I hope the Panthersville property will still be utilized. Both because it's a good site for minor sports and because "Panthersville".

If the Ted was a non-option, then the Morris Brown scenario would be worth a closer look.
