I have no issue with it. My dad's degrees came from Georgia Southwestern, but his time in Florida growing up made him a Gators fan. It's easy to get tired of the ridiculous Dawg culture in this state, but people have their loyalties for all sorts of reasons.

Personally, I'd rather have universities representing communities than professional teams, and no one questions why anyone around here is a Falcons fan. I'd love it if more folks got behind GSU because they felt it represents Atlanta.

I usually dont have a problem with it. Only when people with one or two degrees from one school crap on the school they attended and puff out their chest about schools they did not attend.

I've come to realize that those types of people are losers in every aspect.... it shows that they don't have a mind of their own and will always be scrambling to fit in with the most popular option.... which is basically most UGA and Bama fans. I don't see how someone could support another school over their own... it shows that they care more about fitting in with the crowd rather than the value of their own degree.

Yeah, that's definitely a different story, to be negative toward the school that you should have some loyalty to. It's like watching a guy pay more attention to his hot friend than his less-than-hot wife.

EDIT: For the metaphor above, by the way, GSU is smokin' hot.
