People used to say that about Sunday alcohol sales. Times are a changing fast especially in the big city where the voters are located.

I agree times are changing but the alcohol Sunday sales took a long time to pass and I think (could be wrong) is still up to each county to decide. I think the casino vote is going to need support from Central and south ga to pass. Atlanta is big but not that big, they don't have all the voters as you insinuated. There are strong political factions in south ga.

That is why the casinos will have to offer some sort of free college to buy off the voters. This would be HOPE scholarship part II and if that he public would support a lottery in 1993, a casino would seem to face fewer obstacles. Of course Gov Miller supported the lottery so that is a difference.

At the end of the day that is what it will take. I have no idea if the revenue is there to make it worth it for the casinos. We shall soon see.

I agree with you. Hope could sway a lot of votes.
