UGA's marketing is what won them all their fans. Also being in the SEC doesn't hurt. Also ESPN

Tech markets to the Atlanta area, which limits their "rural footprint" and of course their fanbase, ie why you don't see "Walmart fans".

State needs to win games to see a spike in their attendance (duh). With the football program being so fresh a large percentage of that 125k alumni base didn't have football when they were in school.

Southern was stuck in FCS for too long, you're starting to see some closet Eagles emerge but continued success will wither the UGA-Southern fans and turn them into True Blue supporters.
