I downloaded Steam and installed Portal 2 and Witcher 2. Feel good man. Those games are probably ancient history compared to what you guys are playing. I've got some catching up to do.

I've heard good things about #3. Hopefully it turns up in a Steam holiday sale this year.

I played the original several years ago. The controls were kinda wonky but once you got used to them the game was a lot of fun. I loved the creative use of alchemy. It was an almost vital part of combat, in comparison with most games where it's almost useless. I tend to hoard my potions in RPGs so it was fun playing a game that forces you to burn through potions just to survive.

Witcher 3 was a wonderful game, and now with the GotY Edition, you can have both (excellent) DLC's plus the *non-bugged* Wolf Gear for the same price as the full game at launch. I would highly recommend investing in an XBoxElite handset or Dualshock 4 if you're a PC gamer, I find I enjoy games much better utilizing those peripherals instead of the key/mouse combo.

If you're only on PC, I'm wonder what kind of game you're primarily into, genre/setting/perspective. My Steam library is way larger than I'd care to admit, but I've found some great hidden gems.
