I know a lot of people on here pump former president Carol Garrison as a martyr who was forced out of town. My question is why no statement in the last couple of years. Why not say something now . The same goes for Mackin.

Everyone always talks about how she and mackin are/ were strong supporters of UAB and the athletic department but their silence now and in the past has hurt uab way more than any good they can claim to have done.

She has absolutely no retribution to worry about now. I have never bought into the job security argument... how many millions does someone need to make before they feel secure enough to speak up and do their job?

I don't have an Axe to grind with the athletic director or Carol Garrison. I actually really liked her. I remember the jubilation on her face when she went to the fence to greet the players after a big win. And I'm not ashamed to say that moment had me teary eyed.

I say all that to say this when injustices are being committed and people don't even speak up they are guilty also....especially when said people have the responsibility and power to make a much bigger difference than us.

My rant is over just had to get that off my chest. Go Blazers
