Supporters of the movement say the old laws are cutting into the royalties of musicians and song-writers whose creations can be heard on the radio.

I agree, songwriters have been getting screwed over the most. It isn't even worth writing anymore and that's something that needs to be changed. The songwriter needs to be restored to their proper place in the financial reality of the music business.
