Don't think we unanimously claim that. I will say we probably field the best team in NC once out of every 3 years or so. That's 30-40% on the time, and this is nothing new it goes back 25 years.

As far as programs, facilities and such of course NCSU and UNC have the best facilities with their P5 money.

Our fanbase is at worst 3rd, Duke and Wake Forest are really irrelevant in that regard. In fact App St's fanbase is probably more rabid than either for football.

UNC just isn't a football school. They have #'s but their gameday experience is horrible. NCSU has a big rabid following, they just can't get it going consistently.

But in the end, give us their advantages and all of the recruits they take out of our backyard would be ours. Or at least most of them.
