Reading that it was Cover 2 which means the safety switches over and has responsibility, although ESPNU people were saying the corner should have stayed on him as well since nobody was in the flat.

But I don't know how you leave somebody one on one in that situation. There were trips on the other side, so there was help over there whoever they threw to. There was nobody else on that side of the field leaving a lot of room for the receiver.

I also don't know how you let the receiver go since he would be open for a time for a big gain until the safety got over. That sort of thing seems to be what Baker Mayfield was exploiting in the 1st half vs. Georgia in the Rose Bowl.

It was also a hell of a play by the freshman QB. If you watch the replay he baited the safety off the coverage with a long look towards the center of the field just before delivering the pass. A veteran move by a player who hasn't played very much.
