No. I think the title will retire with whichever team holds it at the conclusion of the season. I guess if UTEP can earn it on the field later in the season, they can keep it going between them and SHSU, but I doubt the Miners will end the season with it.

UNT, Rice, & UTSA will probably just create a new Texas Title for the AAC. Of course SMU will hate the idea, which only makes me want to do it even more. COGS

And once we are in the AAC, we will hold a 3-1 advantage if UTSA, UNT and Rice all vote as a block.

Heck, if the C-USA6 vote as a block, the AAC8 can’t take actions that require 2/3rds or more member votes. Remind the SMU and USF fans of that.
