That's the motivator here I think with this add. Name value school. Takes the Valley to a 50-50 public/private mix.

School is both in the Chicago metro and in the state of Indiana prime recruiting grounds.

Valley's lost turf in urban Nebraska and Kansas to trade for ground already covered in Illinois and Indiana. It makes travel easier for some. They can ask Horizon and MAC how "lucrative" the turf is for recruiting.

Well I think there is an effort to stay out of Michigan and Ohio by the Valley which is the MAC's core turf. MAC will make them look small time in those states.

The MVC could press on to 12 but I don't think Milwaukee or UNO bring enough chemistry. Plus divisions are tough to do when there are 4 Illinois schools and Mo State and SIU hanging out on southern fringe.
