RE: Florida State Takes $478,000 Hit From ACC Championship Game
I would say charging 150 for a game is bad enough when numbers are down. No to mention the economy. Can't say much for the MAC Championship. I bought tickets from a scalper the last two years. One for $5 and last years for $10. I bet if they lowered tickets to the ACC they'd sell out for sure. Hard part is judging the market. Could probably drop it 30 to 50 bucks and get a better turn out. Problem is, if you drop ticket prices you lose more. i.e. $50 drop for 60,000 seats=3,000,000. Makes the 478,000 loss a better option. If you gave tickets to our games away, the numbers would be the same. I would rather we play in a neutral site, but stay in conf. Move the games to Akron's new stadium with revenue sharing. Put the cost savings back into the conf.
