Well, summer school starts this week. Hopefully, whomever recruit your source is talking about enrolls at NMSU now and something is announced. Aggie fans need a bit of good news after a long frustrating spring.
I've looked through the recruiting websites and there are still "some" 3-star HS recruits available; a handful of top JC players; and maybe a dozen or so grad transfer who could make a difference. Unless a player like Ndir (originally signed with Texas A&M) falls into NMSU hands there not much out there to completely remove the sting of losing Figueroa.
Hopefully it's someone who can take over at the wing position. I believe Hadley and Miles will be good bench guys at the 2 and 3. I feel our needs for our four available scholarships need to go to a point guard, small forward, power forward, and center.

Now look ... I know Crimson has already handled this with you. And most of this garbage is hidden so the public can't see it anymore. But I have a real problem with people being out and out a**holes to mods, particularly publicly.
Have 4 weeks off from the site. Straight from the top. You wanna cry about that you can PM me. But I'm already grumpy with your behavior, so I wouldn't advise it.
What the heck did I miss?! I don't get on for one day and it looks like I missed fireworks. So disappointed...

That, or he pulled an Andy Dufresne. Either way, welcome back, Clarity!

RE: WAC Basketball Recruiting 2017-18
CSUB offers 6-4 G Trey Spencer from Mississippi, has 3 years left. Barnes likes going to his home state. Also has offers from UT-Martin and Little Rock. He averaged 13.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg and shot 39% from 3 as well as 42.7% from the field. Hit 8 three's in a tournament game. He was also named to the all-region team. Really liking what I'm hearing. Not sure if this is for next year or this year, VC didn't really specify. Since they said 3 years left in the tweet it might be this year but currently there are no scholarships open.

Chicago State lands a verbal commit for next year (2018-19) Simeon guard Kezo Brown. Supposedly a 3 star player, highest CSU has ever gotten.

It's a verbal and a year out, so much can change. But if it holds a nice pickup.

RE: WAC Basketball Recruiting 2017-18
Hayford adds three players as he finalizes the roster, including his FOURTH 3-star transfer. Myles Carter, a 6'9 3-star (ESPN, Scout, Rivals) transfer from Seton Hall will sit out the season, then have two years of eligibility. He joins 3-stars Delante Jones (Patriot FOY) and Dashawn McDowell (SMU) as 3-stars sitting the season out.
Hayford also added, presumably as redshirts as there is no VC or recruiting profiles out there, JUCO SG Collin Huun from Salem, Oregon and freshman Brennen Corrigan from Oaks Christian HS and Westlake, California.

It seems to me, Da Campo is the logical one to red shirt unless Hayford is not going to retain him. Da Campo might need more time to develop. Whereas, Ulaneo, Means, and Moore are producing fairly well now. Then again, if Hayford has high hopes for Means for the future, it might serve Means well to red shirt a year since Hayford brought in a few D1 upperclassmen transfers who might be able to play the point.
On paper, Hayford has brought in a very good recruiting class. However, a lot of these 3-star players have been underperformers at their prior school. I believe Hayford is a good coach and he will pull more talent out of these players. Other WAC programs have had good production out of similar type players... Grandy Glaze, Isaac Neilson, Kenneth Ogbe, Brandon Randolph, Lew Stallworth, Mike Hoffman.
Although he is small in stature (5'11), I am impressed with Collin Huun's shooting...

I'm not sure Huun has D1 athleticism, but he is a guy perimeter defenses wouldn't want to sleep on... 43.0% 3FG percentage & 106 threes in JC ball.

Hayford has loaded up on the 3-point shooters with Owies, Jones, and Huun. True freshman PG Aaron Nettles wont be redshirting, and he is a shooter too. I think the RS will be Da Campo, Cosmos, maybe Means (as Jordan Hill and Gittens can play PG as well with Nettles)
I wouldnt say underpeforming either, as McDowell, Owies, and Carter all played under 11mpg. But, that does mean they are unproven. Its their HS rankings that are exciting. Jones is the only non-grad transfer who has shown he can be a star at this level.
Carter played only 4.6mpg over 14 games in two seasons.
McDowell 8mpg in 29 games, 9th highest mpg on team
Owies is the one I agree under performed. 11mpg 2.5ppg 27 games. But he was an Australian true freshman and Hayford knows how to use Australian shooters... Venky Jois, anyone?

I think SU is going to pass CSUb in a year or two and put pressure on NMSU and GCU for the top spot. Hayward was an excellent hire
