Player can still sign a NLI but they are non-binding agreements for both parties. The remaining scholarship opening are now fluid until the players actually enroll in the fall. For example, Aggie fans didn't know about the addition of Jemerrio Jones until basketball practice late fall of last year.

RE: WAC Basketball Recruiting 2017-18
Just looking at each WAC team's current roster, it appears NMSU is "still" the biggest unknown as to how good or bad they will be.
Cal State Bakersfield - 13 scholarship players
Chicago State - 12 scholarship players
Grand Canyon - 15 scholarship players
New Mexico State - 10 scholarship players
Seattle U. - 12 scholarship players
UM Kansas City - 15 scholarship players
UT Rio Grande Valley - 13 scholarship players
Utah Valley - 14 scholarship players

But we do have a core of players that will make us the favorite next season.

For the love of God keep it on topic. Not everything is about NMSU and how great they are.

Well, based off the scholarships currently being filled at each WAC program, only Chicago State, New Mexico State, and Seattle are still in the market, this summer, for late additions to their respective basketball rosters. The rest are at their scholarship limit or trying to reduce head count.

NMSU is probably going to have to add at least two more guys who can play right away. Might not even be any redshirts this year.

Bakersfield's Juco SF Kaedrick Williams recruit has committed to another school. This is a shocking blow to CSUB. He was a BIG target for Coach Barnes. Anyone know what happened to him?

New Mexico State will be fine next season, you should worry about you own team. :)

RE: WAC Basketball Recruiting 2017-18
Seattle lands Hawaii transfer 6' PG Matt Owies originally from Australia. He averaged 11.6 minutes and 2.6 ppg as a true freshman for Hawaii last year. He will sit this year out. Seattle have put together 4 transfers for next year all redshirting this year with Jordan Hill from Wisconsin, Richaud Gittens from Weber State, Dashawn McDowell from SMU and now Owies. 2 SG's and 2 PG's. Going to probably need a bit more length. They are now full for their scholarships. Pretty impressive group of transfers though. Seattle is going to be pretty young next year as well. Unless I am reading something wrong there will be no Seniors on next years team. That will be an interesting Senior Day haha. Well done to Seattle and Coach Hayford!

Actually only McDowell and Owies are redshirting. Gittens and Hill are grad transfers.
Dollar definetly left a very young team for Hayford with promising players like Freshman of the Year Matej Kavas and Morgan Means. How many will remain after Hayfords first year, we will see though.

Slightly off topic, but still kinda mad Oscar got snubbed for Kavas.

Aggies have the most important 3 coming back but if Jan's can pull a rabbit out of his hat then NMSU will compete. At this point Utah Valley and Grand Canyon are my pick to win the WAC based on coaching and who is returning.

Yeah, I agree Oscar should have gotten it honestly. I think its because Kavas went off during conference play when it matters. He wasnt that good during the non conference part of the schedule

We'll see if Damari can right the wrong in 2017-18. I'd say it'll be a fight for minutes to do so (I HOPE it's a fight), but would have said the same about O coming in. Yet, there he was in the starting lineup for Game 1. You never know...
