Will be there. Chronicle has a nice story by a new freelance writer named Corey Roepken, but it is behind the pay wall. Owls are 2.5 point favorites.

We will be there. Antarius will be occupying the "Walt Greenberg Seat" so feel free to direct all criticism about the game to him.

Good article.

I'd like to see all the Houston fans who saluted the Hawaii Bowl win show up tonight to support the team. The author captured the energy and positive vibe this teams fills the building with.

UTSA's theme song must be " These Nikes Are Made for Walking" and the refs are their rhythm section.

Rice up by 8

Rice up 29-22 at the half. Watching on OwlVision and it looks like not a bad crowd. Is that true?

Seems larger than usual in spite of no students to speak of.

RE: MBB - Rice v UTSA
Home for 2H due to kids. Above average crowd by our standards - seems like a combo of UTSA fan and all our regulars being at holiday leisure.

I haven't been live to a game for a month, but I would say light years improvement in our pace. Still hesitancy to shoot when open despite the fact that I've never seen coach question a pulling of the trigger (would love to play for that attitude), but understandable after a regime that hit the buzzer quickly. D is better as well, more limbs in passing lanes and beating guys to spots, but missing some opportunities where you can tell it kills coach because the design is there.

Go Owls!

Hit some turbulence and lead down to 13. A couple of bad passes leading to easy buckets.
