Semi-OT ... DirecTV adding WatchESPN and The Longhorn Network
Can't link as I'm on my iPad (easily searchable) but DirecTV just signed an upgraded long-term deal with ESPN/ABC that will add access to several online channels (including full WatchESPN access) and ....

The Longhorn Network.

Actually didn't think it would ever happen.

Personally not a big deal to me but have to wonder if our game next Fall in Austin might end up on LHN.

Of more importance is that for DTV folks now we will be able to get the full slate of content on the WatchESPN app. Up till now having DTV for TV and Comcast for only internet I was limited to only ESPN3 offerings.

I am guessing the creation of the SEC network by ESPN and its pickup by DTV forced the Horns to deal or they would lose more ground to the Aggies. Now if we can just get the Pac 12 on DTV...work on that would you.

Well I did make the switch from DirecTV to Amazon Fire so my sports viewing for now is relegated to online and the Watch ESPN app on Fire. But I suspect the trend in the future will be sports networks adding ala carte apps to devices like that. I don't know how I'll be able to survive the future without The Longhorn Network but I'll do what I can.

Speaking of the Longhorns, where are we playing them next year? I hope it is at Reliant. I hate going to their stadium. It was a horrible experience for me when we played there last time.
