*1. Louisiana
*2-3. stAte
*3-2. Georgia Southern
The rest of the conference is a little more clear cut.
4-5t USA
5-4t TXST
6 ULM
7 App State
8 Troy
9 Idaho
10 New Mexico State
11 Georgia State
If UL and State are that good, which I have no doubt they are, we have a strong G5 conference. Going back to the last game of 2013 to today GS has competed head to head with one SEC team and two ACC teams and are unbeaten in five Sun Belt conference games.
Taking a closer look the total points scored:
GS - 87
UF, NC state, Ga Tech - 86
Five game Sun Belt Conference Total score:
GS - 214
Sun Belt - 103
Average:
GS 42.8
SB 21.6
Only Ga Tech scored more points than G State.
Thought that was interesting.
If you are going to boost on your schedule go back and look at how much of your schedule have winning records and how many of those game you won. The conference always sets use up for failure, two Tuesday night games and TxSt, Ark State and USA all in a row with no off week in between those games but like GaSo we can only play the schedule we are given.

The problem is the league is pretty remarkably terrible once you get past South Alabama at 4.
Oh my pride...
You guys are pretty decent when your OC calls the plays. Problem is I have no confidence Franchione will let him call the plays.
Fran is forever frustrating. Only have him until 2018...

No boosting here. Anyway no way I'm getting into the who's better than who discussion. Need a little more confidence before getting into that discussion. SEC wins no matter the record are meaningful and both NC state and Tech have winning records. We were winning both games with less than three minutes on the dial driving to ice the deal when lightening struck for both. If UL is the better team go getem. GS's record speaks for itself.

Please also watch the Texas State offense during Fran's playcalling (i.e., the Cajun game, and apparently the first half of the ULM game).
I'm really now wanting to find out how much of that "Fran was calling plays" is true... If so, I want him to no longer have a headset. Or just have a headset that goes to a Little Debbie distributor.

I was going to say that. Bet it comes in 2016 maybe sooner if we win a couple bowl games. He won't leave unless his contract runs out and we are terrible or he chooses to retire.

NC state is 4-4 and on a four game losing streak. There are no moral victories in football. My point is if someone is putting up stats to say why GaSo is the best in the conference when I feel my team is the best then lets get the fact right.

Your point/comparison is based on GS not playing A state with no consideration of OOC play. Two of NC states loses are to FSU and Clemson but I stand corrected they are 4-4. Never suggested that GS was the best but the stats make a pretty good case for it. If the Sun Belt is as good as you believe they are I couldn't be happier. If the Sun Belt is not as good as you think they are, well, I still couldn't be happier. The only head to head comparison we have at this point is G state. 34 - 31 at home vs 69 - 31 away. In scoring alone that gives G state 10 possessions to score.
