RE: Ticket City's 1st Annual Ranking of "Most Engaged Football Fans"
I just want to remind people that total attendance was actually up last season due to an extra game. Although average attendance will probably drop again, total attendance will likely be up again this season due to adding a 7th game. I'm not minimizing the importance of average attendance, but there are other important issue that impact those numbers that don't necessarily reflect a big drop off in interest.

as much as we are passionate about our school and enjoy all the festivities of football, sports is still "entertainment". and the entertainment value in the 3 yards and a cloud of rubber pellets offense has long since disappeared. It's too easy to turn on the TV and see other teams running more modern offenses to accept what JMU has been doing.
put on a more entertaining show, and people will come back, and stay.
and that's also why MM will not be our coach in FBS. He's too old school and the conservative nature won't work well for us in FBS. We need younger and modern to move forward.
