It was easy to see Louisville was not a good team. Mediocre at best. They lost their coaching staff and their best recruit.

Moral victory demarcation depends on the relative strength of the opponent. A nine pont loss to Louisville (blown out by KY) is considered a moral victory and sign of progress by some fans. Cincy is ranked and is rated better than UL. Therefore, a loss by only 15 points to Cincy should qualify as progress and a moral victory by those buying into that sort of thing.
